Malossol Farm-Raised Osetra Caviar (Step By Step)

Malossol Farm-Raised Osetra Caviar (Step By Step)

Our Caviar

Our Ossetra Malossol Caviar is truly sustainable and humanely raised on a state-of-the-art aquaculture farm in the French Aquitaine region. The farm is an example of environmental practices that are good for fish and land, and its wastewater is actually cleaner than the same water at the inlet. The Siberian sturgeon (Acipenser baerii) is bred with the strictest environmental and animal welfare protocols.

D’Artagnan caviar is processed, packaged and sealed at the source in less than 90 minutes; touch the air for the first time when you open it at home. This type of unique canning is very rare in the world of caviar, as most caviar is harvested, chemically treated to extend the shelf life of the product, and packed in large batches that are sent to suppliers who repackage it in smaller cans to label as your own. Because D’Artagnan caviar is in a single can, our caviar has a shelf life of 6 months, much longer than the average 6-8 weeks of most caviar.

The label malossol, a Russian term for “little salt,” indicates that caviar has been preserved using the least amount of salt without masking its fresh flavors. Most of the caviar is preserved with borax, which alters the texture, which is evidenced by a bursting sensation in the mouth. Our fresh caviar does not explode; instead, it has a sensational creamy texture.

Exceptional Quality

Si solo fuera la mitad del precio, lo pediría semanalmente … Delicioso en rebanadas súper delgadas de centeno ligeramente tostado….

It’s My Favorite Caviar And I Always Ask For It When It’s On Sale!

I’ve always loved caviar since I was a teenager for special occasions. Now I love it at any time of the year. I have tried many American paddlefish, but yours is always my favorite, regardless of the price!

Perfect!

Wonderful caviar with a delicate flavor (and it doesn’t come from China :)). I am Russian by birth and had a lot of experience eating caviar, you can trust me. It is not salty at all. Just perfect.

Excellent!

We had this caviar on New Years Eve with boiled eggs and it was delicious. Not too salty with excellent crispy flavors. We also had salmon roe, but the Ossetra caviar was far, far superior in flavor and quality. Of course, the price relegates it to special occasions, but I would definitely buy it again when justified.

Perfect

This caviar was just perfect. Not much, but it’s worth every penny. You can’t find a better caviar anywhere outside of Russia.

I Would Not Buy

My daughter ordered this as a special gift when I went to visit a few weeks ago. We were both very disappointed as it had no flavor. All you could try was salt.

Yum!

On toast with fruit and cheese, this is a delicious luxury snack.

I Would Not Buy This Product Again

There is nothing special about this caviar. In fact, it’s pretty bland. I am extremely disappointed.
